Imagine paying thousands of dollars for a website... it isn't the greatest design in the world, but you HAVE to have a site, so you are happy with it -- for now. Move on a few years. You've been paying the original designer a shedload of money each month for hosting, and "some other service" (which of course you've never used)... and are finally ready to make some educated changes to your site.
